Run a sponsor self-audit

8 Jul 2026 · 1 min read

Walk through what the Home Office checks and find any gaps before they do.

The best way to be ready for a Home Office visit is to check yourself first. The self-audit walks you through what an inspector looks at and gives you a readiness score, so you can close any gaps in your own time.

    Work through the checklist

Open Self-audit and go through each item. For each one, mark it In place, a Gap, or Not applicable to your business.

  2. 2

    Watch your readiness score

As you answer, Empliora works out how ready you are, shown as a percentage with a count of what is in place and what is a gap. It is a clear target to work towards.

  3. 3

    Close the gaps

Anything marked as a gap is your to do list. Work through them, come back and change them to In place, and watch your score climb. Running this every few months means a real inspection holds no surprises.
